“I accidentally walked in a marathon.” buffet marathoner spends 26 hours at Anytime Fitness for free without getting kicked out

Social media personalities often secure a dedicated following, creating a niche for themselves. Call it personal branding, a gimmick, or their ‘thing’, there are people who are able to build a following because they become famous for something.

For a TikToker named Madison (@ugh_madison), it’s all-you-can-eat and seeing how long she can sit and enjoy restaurant meals before being kicked out. Sometimes, like on his trip to Golden Corral, the staff are very welcoming and attentive to him and let him stay from open to close without too much trouble.

And then there are times when management puts the brakes on his attempt to dine and informs him that he has not accepted his greeting. To Madison’s credit, in most, if not all, of her videos, she seems to be giving pretty good tips to shift workers, even multiple shift workers.

However, Madison recently experienced a different kind of marathon session. This time, he wanted to see how much time he could spend at an Anytime Fitness location. The gyms are open 24/7 and the TikToker tried to stay there as long as he could before an employee decided to come in and tell him he had enough exercise for one visit.

The end result is what Madison calls the “craziest video” she’s “ever shot.”

He narrates his video, in which he narrates the series of different workouts he performs, sometimes holding up a photo of bodybuilder Sam Soulek for inspiration. Madison does this through an impressive 26 hours of continuous training. He does a variety of different weight lifting exercises, jumping on different machines, and then takes breaks by walking on a treadmill for long periods of time. In fact, between his intermittent walking spells, he technically ran the distance of an entire marathon, which he tracked on his Apple Watch.

The clock, because he spent so much time in the gym, eventually died during his marathon training, and because he was in the gym for so long and working so hard, he had to make sure he was consuming enough calories to keep going. : . He’s stacked up on packets of tuna and plenty of Quest protein cookies and bars in between workouts.

“…All good and my meals down, I realize I’m the only person in the whole building. The staff clocks in at 7pm and there are no customers because it’s almost midnight on a Tuesday,” he says, gesturing to the deserted gym, emphasizing that he is indeed the only member actively there.

Taking a break from training, Madison charged her wearable and spent some time cleaning the gym. He records himself picking up debris from the ground and wiping down counters and various surfaces before eventually returning to the ground.

“I decided to tidy up the place while my watch recharged. I only had 115 grams of fiber and 311 grams of protein. The employees were supposed to return by 11 o’clock, but one of them returned at 8 o’clock in the morning. We walked right past each other and he didn’t even think,” she says.

“The other employees returned on the 11th, and none of them were interested,” he continues. “I’ve been up for 27 hours and Anytime Fitness isn’t letting me out anytime soon, so I’ve decided to leave. I spent 26 hours in the gym. I think I got my free membership worth it.”

People were shocked at the extreme lengths Madison went through in her video. One person wrote: “Girl, how come you didn’t throw up?”

While another wrote: “How could you be so casual about this?”

“You are the most interesting person alive,” one person shared.

“I know you slept well after that,” exclaimed another, while another TikToker called Madison the “ultimate sidequest performer.”

“You’ve spent more time in the gym in one day than I have in my entire life,” quipped another TikTok user.
